Poker is a popular online casino game, and due to this popularity, many online casinos host events throughout the year to give players the chance to win real money. One such event is the WSOP poker event.

This year, the most prestigious and longest-running poker series is coming to the Las Vegas Strip for the very first time. This move builds upon the legacy of Caesars Entertainment’s World Series of Poker, where the first-ever poker tournament was played in 1970.

This article will discuss the significance of the WSOP poker event and a list of countries where the event will be held this year.

WSOP Poker Event

The WSOP poker event is the biggest poker tournament in Australia. The first-ever tournament was held in 1970, with only six players invited. The hype and popularity have only grown since then, and over 75,000+ players participate in the event almost every year.

When it comes to the prize money for this event, players can win millions of dollars when they walk away with the winning title. The tournament has also awarded the winning player with a coveted bracelet since 1976. This bracelet is the envy of just about every poker player out there as it marks you as part of the poker elite.

The event’s significance can be summarized by the yearly prize money. In 2021, the tournament attracted 6,650 players, despite being held during a pandemic, and created a prize pool of $62,011,250. The prize pool was paid to the top 1,000 finishers with a minimum cash worth of $15,000. The winner walked away with approximately $8,000,000.
