If you’d like to disable the News Republic, follow these simple steps.
Disable from Android
While you can’t disable it entirely on Android, you can go into your device’s settings and hide specific apps so they don’t show up in your app drawer. To do so, go to Settings > Apps and scroll down until you see the News Republic. If it’s not there, look under Downloaded uf elearning Apps or All Apps. Tap it once, then tap Hide at the top of your screen.
Disable from iPhone
Access your iPhone’s home screen and tap on Settings. Then, scroll down and tap on Safari. Next, tap on ‘Safari Content Blockers.’ At last, select News Republic from your list of installed content blockers. Once selected, simply disable it by tapping on ‘OFF.’ Your iPhone will now no longer block any of its content. If you ever wish to re-enable it at a later date, just follow these same steps and re-activate it in order to start blocking ads once again.
Disable from Web
While you can’t remove the News Republic from your phone, there are a few things you can do to stop it from delivering unwanted news notifications. On an Android phone, open your Settings and scroll down until you see Applications. Select Manage Apps and find the News Republic under All. Tap on it and choose Notifications. You should be able to toggle off any available notifications in that menu or change them so they come at less frequent intervals. If none of these options work for you, turning off your Wi-Fi will stop all notifications, including those from apps like Weather Channel Max and MSN Now.
How to Unroot and Uninstall News Republic?
This is a multi-step process so be sure to follow these instructions carefully. The first thing you need to do is download and install Titanium Backup from Google Play Store. This app can backup, restore, freeze and uninstall system apps. After you have installed Titanium Backup on your device launch it. The application should open with a screen prompting you if you want to freeze or uninstall applications that are already installed on your device. Tap Freeze which will allow you to disable applications by preventing them from running or updating automatically but still keeps them stored in your device’s memory for future use.
Can I watch News Republic videos for free?
Unfortunately, no. You must have a paid subscription in order to watch on-demand videos from the News Republic. There is a 30-day free trial you can use if you wish. Simply set up an account with your credit card information and begin watching at any time without paying anything until after thirty days are up.
